Look at this Beauty

Surfing around the Internet as I do, looking for ideas and inspiration, I ran across this beautiful doll that recently sold at auction for $37,000 and some change. She's a big, carved wooden from the 18th century. She stands about 28 inches tall! Isn't she gorgeous?

I would love to try and make a doll like her (only smaller) for the Williamsburg show. What do ya'll think?

Hardly a piece of cake for me, Flora. In fact, I started on her this weekend -- and she proved to be quite challenging. Just today she got legs and I'm working on her shift. Her name is Anna. I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

I think she's beautiful and not as scary as many dolls from that era are. :-)
